Directions
From Wheeling and South:
Take Route 7 North to Steubenville
Follow
Route 22 East as if going to Pittsburgh
Take the Harmon Creek Exit and
turn right off ramp
Follow road about 4.5 miles to Colliers
Turn right
onto Mechling Hill Road (immediately after elementary school)
At stop
sign at top of hill turn left.
Go about 4 tenths of a mile to Tent
Church Road and turn right
Go about 6 tenths of a mile to the entrance
to Brooke Place.
For those who like adventure, try the back road:
From Wheeling take Route 2 North to Wellsburg
After going through
Wellsburg turn right onto Bruin Drive/Cross Creek Rd. (Brooke High
School)
About 2.5 miles back take a left onto St. John's Road.
At end of
road (about 3.5 miles), turn right.
Go about 1 mile to Tent Church Road,
turn right.
Go about 6 tenths of a mile to the entrance to Brooke Place.
From Interstate 79 in WV:
Follow I-79N to Washington, PA
I-79N and I-70W will run together briefly.
Follow I-70W toward Wheeling
Take the Jefferson Ave Exit (PA Route 18N)
Turn right at end of ramp.
Go to light after DQ; turn right.
Next light (several blocks), turn right. (PA Route 18 North)
Follow PA 18 North. This is probably 10 miles, maybe more. You'll pass
a red brick church on the left and soon after, a cemetery on the right.
After the cemetery, turn left toward Burgettstown. If you pass the US
post office, you just missed the turn. You're still on PA 18 if you made
the turn.
Go the 8 miles to Burgettstown. At the light (there's a BP station
/Subway close by) turn left toward Langloth and Eldersville (you'll go
through both little towns).
About 8/9 miles later, you'll see come back into WV. Oh, those country
roads! There's a state sign and a Brooke County sign.
About .7 miles later, turn left onto Tent Church Road.
6 miles; the house is on the right. Turn right into driveway. You'll
see the Brooke Place sign.
Directions to Brooke Place from Weirton Medical Center:
Turn left out of the hospital parking lot onto Colliers Way.
Go past Angeline Estates to bottom of "hospital hill."
Turn left at stop sign.
At next stop sign, turn left.
Immediately after Colliers Primary School, turn right onto Mechling Hill
Road.
Turn left at stop sign at top of hill.
Go about 1/2 mile and turn right onto Tent Church Road.
Go about .6 miles and turn right into Brooke Place driveway. (There is
an orange "Truck Entrance" sign just before our driveway.)
